This past semester break I booked a spontaneous trip to the UK to suss out my future after I graduate. After working day shifts (at Bird on a Wire and Dantes Pizzeria) and working at uni illegally afterhours until early hours of the morning, I managed to save up enough for my trip – even if it was on a shoestring (the more fun / adventurous way to travel!)
Last night I went to see John Mayer perform live with some Wellington friends – and all of us were blown away. I have been a JM fan since way back, and know most of his songs – however [notoriously bad personal rep aside] I didn’t realise quite how much of a musical genius he really is. He definitely knows it though! 🙂 Continue reading “John Mayer | NZL”→
Some say they are the One Direction of New Zealand with their pitch perfect harmonies, fun songs, beautifully synchronised outfits and ability to make the girls swoon… but Moorhouse are so much (cue the terrible pun) more than a typical boyband. Watching them live on stage made me realise how talented these boys really are. Not only do they have slick choreography and sound great, but they were full of life, awesome with their fans and most importantly, humble.
So I have just got back from a totally rad weekend down at Mystery Creek (Hamilton) at Parachute Music Festival. When I heard Australian band Tigertown were going along with a few other faves, I decided I would go down as media to shoot the festival.
The band members of Tigertown (who are also family)are cooler than cool. Everything from their stage design, to musicianship, to fashion and style was just perfect. Their presence on stage was enchanting and the whole show was quite a spectacle. Here are some shots from their Winter wonderland themed set…. After moving out of my flat, finishing my second year of uni, and moving cities for the summer, I have finally got around to sifting through my Justin Bieber photos. I shot the concert a while ago when he came to New Zealand for his Believe tour.. So for all you “Beliebers” or concert photo enthusiasts out there, Enjoy!
If you are interested in ordering any prints, or for business inquiries, please feel free to email me via the contact page – or check out my photography page on Facebook (on the sidebar to the right).
Recently I photographed Australian singer/songwriter/soul-music-extrodinarie, Matt Corby performing live. The show was absolutely incredible, the whole room was really getting into his music and he was even better live than his recordings. Clip for new song Trick of the light However, let the photographs tell the story…
Sneaky wave from this rugged beach-babe, such an auzzie surfer look!
I went with my good friends Ellie and Mitch. Here is a couple of photos of me and the “newly 18” Ellie (Happy Birthday!)
What happens when you put 12,000 screaming teenage girls in an arena? Chaos.
Was the chaos worth it? Totally.
When my friend offered me a ticket to the One Direction concert at Vector Arena, I couldn’t resist it.
As soon as the five boys stepped out onto the stage, I knew I was in for a treat. Not only were they note-perfect, personable and total babes, but they also had admirable stamina as they jumped/danced across the stage 90% of the concert.
The show was mainly narrated by Niall, who I always assumed to be the shier one, but proved me wrong as he was confident and witty. They even performed a Haka (said with a British accent) and commented on how much they liked our sheep 🙂 Everyone in the arena was on their feet dancing the whole 3 hours and the wave of glow-sticks was absolutely magical!
Best songs: 1. Summer Love, 2. Best Song Ever
Here are a few shots I took at the concert (prints available for purchase, please email me at email@example.com or leave a comment below)
I love you Harry Styles.
Three very excited girls!
We even got to hang out with the Aussie warm up act – Five Seconds of Summer before the concert!
Let me know what you thought of the concert – and if you ever get the chance to see One Direction perform live, I would definitely recommend going, they are AMAZING!
